About Josh

Hi my name is Josh, I am 17 years old and have come to realise that one of my greatest passions in this life is music. I play guitar, bass, keyboard and drums, and am self-taught on all except drums. My favourite styles of music are varied, with influences from modern hip-hop, electronica, alt-rock and the like. My love for music composition has been aided by the advancement of cheap home studio technology, enabling me to create my own unique blend of music, influenced by a melting pot of genres. I hope to further my performance skills through my participation in the newly-formed band ‘Sheep of the Kiwi’. This short-term music project is the beginning of my music career and should propel me into a long-term career in the music industry.

About Tarryn :)

Hey my name is Tarryn Leah Schofield and I am 17 years old from the Sunshine Coast. I have had a pretty crazy upbringing. I was born in Johannesburg South Africa and moved to Australia when I was 13 years old. Adjusting to the changes in my life was difficult but writing and learning new songs made the journey so much easier as it helped me grow and helped me (as cliché as it is) find out who I really am.

Growing up I never really had an input into the music I listened to, it was always Dad’s playlists playing in the car or at home so the artists that shaped me greatly would be John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Jeremy Taylor and The Beatles. I wouldn’t have had it any other way because having various genres of music constantly playing helped me really explore what music was really about and what it really meant to me.

About Mitch

Hi my name is Mitch. I have been roaming these lands for the past seventeen years and have come to realise something… I thoroughly enjoy music. I play percussion and have been doing so for a few years. I am currently studying in grade 12. The style of music that I like to listen to that excites my ear is Hip Hop/ R&B along with electronic instrumentals. My music influences include artists like Destiny’s child which my Auntie used to pump all the time when I was living with her as a child. I only recently discovered my interest in electronic music when the trap scene rose and the African American in me couldn’t resist its heavy and simple tunes. I hope to gain more knowledge of the performance side of music through the formation of our new band ‘Sheep of the Kiwi’ which will help in my quest to join the music industry.

A little bit about Shearah :)

Hey my name’s Shearah-Rose Spears and I’m 16 years old.I was born on the 5th of September (just in-case you wanted to send me a birthday card), and I live on the Sunshine Coast.

I love love love music! Music is life, and without music, there is no life! Music runs in my veins, and has since the day I was born.

I have always had a passion for performing. Ranging from theatrical drama performances, musicals, on-screen work…and finally singing! The adrenalin I get from performing encouraged me to join the newly formed band “Sheep of the Kiwi”. The diva known as Beyonce’, Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday and Michael Bubble are just a few artists that inspire me to be me! They are my inspiration and my oxygen, and I breathe their musical talent.
